As a lot of loneliness and helplessness became noticeable around me through the social isolation and physical distancing I recognized that the situation challenges human beings in a very special way.
I want to deal in my series with the physical effects of the pandemic crisis. Physical contact is no longer possible due to solidarity and also your own safety. But distance, loneliness, the desire for tangible closeness and community is a big issue. I would like to represent the spatial separation, the physical distancing and the isolation of the individual with the dancers and create a space in which the need for physical closeness and community gets distinctly.
